The Minted Kangaroo bar features the iconic running kangaroo pattern on the reverse and The Perth Mint's swan hallmark on the obverse. Supplied in a tamper-evident assay card with a unique serial number and the Chief Assayer's certification — preserving the bar's full investment value.

The Cast Square bar is the Perth Mint's classic pour-moulded bar — a slightly organic texture and no assay card, but identical 99.99% purity and a marginally lower premium than the minted version. Popular with investors optimising for cost-per-gram.

Both are 99.99% pure gold — the difference is in production process, aesthetics, and premium:

• Minted bar: Stamped through precision dies, mirror-finish field, comes in a sealed assay card with serial number. Slightly higher premium (~3.2%). Best for: investors who want optimal future resale presentation and documented provenance.
• Cast bar: Molten gold poured into a mould, more textured appearance, no assay card. Slightly lower premium. Best for: investors prioritising gold content value and lowest entry cost per gram.

For most investors, either is excellent. The minted bar is easier to sell back to any dealer globally; the cast bar maximises gold exposure per dollar spent.

Your purchase can be collected in person from our Sydney or Melbourne offices, delivered via fully insured specialist courier, or placed directly into our allocated vault storage — free for the first 3 months.

Allocated vault storage means your specific bar, identified by serial number, is ring-fenced in our Class 10 vault and insured at full replacement value through Lloyd's of London. You can sell stored holdings at full spot price at any time without taking delivery.

Investment-grade gold (≥99.5% pure) is exempt from GST in Australia. This product is GST-free. Selling gold is a CGT event — if held more than 12 months, the 50% CGT discount may apply to individuals. A tax invoice is provided for every purchase. Retain all receipts for CGT records.
