The Perth Mint 1 Gram Kangaroo Minted Gold Bar is the smallest denomination in the Kangaroo series — an excellent entry point for new investors or those accumulating gold gram by gram. Each bar features the iconic running kangaroo pattern on the reverse and The Perth Mint's swan hallmark and purity details on the obverse.

Supplied in The Perth Mint's tamper-evident assay card, with a unique bar number and the Chief Assayer's signature confirming the bar's gold content and fineness. As an authorised Perth Mint dealer, every bar we supply is guaranteed authentic and freshly sourced.

Your purchase can be collected in person from our Sydney or Melbourne offices, delivered by fully insured specialist courier, or placed directly into our allocated vault storage. Vault storage is free for the first 3 months with every purchase.

Allocated storage means your specific bar — identified by its serial number — is registered to your account and held separately from all other clients' metals. It never appears on our balance sheet and is protected by Lloyd's of London insurance at full replacement value.

Investment-grade gold (≥99.5% pure) is exempt from GST in Australia under the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999. This product is GST-free.

Selling gold is a Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event. If you hold for more than 12 months, the 50% CGT discount may apply. A detailed tax invoice is provided with every purchase — retain this for CGT record-keeping. We recommend consulting a qualified tax adviser for your specific circumstances.

All deliveries are made by specialist secure courier, fully insured at replacement value from dispatch to signed delivery. Discreet packaging — no markings indicating contents. Delivery timeframes: Sydney/Melbourne next business day; other metro 1–2 business days; regional 2–5 business days.

Returns are accepted only where the product received differs materially from the product ordered, or in the case of a manufacturing defect. Returns based on price movement after confirmed purchase are not accepted. Contact us within 5 business days if you believe a return is warranted.
