The Perth Mint 10 Troy Oz Gold Bar is available in two formats. The minted bar features the Perth Mint's iconic Kangaroo running motif on the reverse in tamper-evident assay card packaging with a unique bar number and Chief Assayer certification (C000001 shown). The card specs confirm 10 troy oz, 99.99% fineness, and gross weight 311.066g.

The cast bar is a traditional pour-moulded bar stamped with The Perth Mint's swan hallmark, weight (10ozs), fineness (9999), and individual serial number (0000001 shown). The organic surface texture — flow lines, grain structure — is characteristic of the casting process and does not affect gold content or resale value.

As an authorised Perth Mint dealer, every bar we supply comes directly from the Mint. Both formats carry LBMA Good Delivery accreditation — accepted at face value by any bullion bank, central bank, or dealer worldwide.

Both contain identical 99.99% gold. The differences:

• Minted (~1.2% premium): Kangaroo motif, tamper-evident assay card, bar number C000001, Chief Assayer certified. Full documented provenance — optimal for resale into any market globally without question. Slightly higher premium.
• Cast (~1.0% premium): Traditional pour bar with swan hallmark and serial number stamped directly on bar. No assay card. Lower premium — better gold content value per dollar. Best for investors buying purely for gold content and selling through known dealers.

At 10oz, both formats carry near-institutional premiums. The premium difference between minted and cast is modest relative to the total holding size. For most investors, the minted bar's full provenance documentation is worth the marginal extra cost.
